Bennington, VT, Orders Custom Pumper

Bennington, VT, Fire Dept. has recently taken delivery of a custom pumper from Marion Body Works, Inc. It is built on a Spartan custom cab and chassis, powered by a Cummins 450 hp engine and Allison transmission. To fight fire, it has a Hale 1,750-gpm pump, a 1,000-gallon tank with a 30-gallon foam cell and a FoamLogix 2.1 foam system. It also has a 10,000-watt Harrison generator, Fire Research Corp. lights, and Hannay cord reels.
