Clyde, OH, Fire Dept. Puts 2,500-Gallon Pumper/Tanker in Service

The Clyde, OH, Fire Dept. has taken delivery of a KME Predator pumper tanker. The unit is built on a KME Predator cab and chassis with a 22-inch raised roof. It is powered by a Cummins ISX 15 500 hp engine and an Allison 4000EVS transmission. To fight fire, it has a Hale QMax 1,500-gpm pump, a 2,500-gallon UPF Poly water tank with a 50-gallon foam cell, Newton electric dump valves, and a FoamPro 2002 foam system. The 38-foot long unit is also equipped with a Zico portable tank and ladder rack and Whelen scene and warning lights.
