Firefighters in Hazel Township, Pa. , are now responding with a KME custom heavy rescue built on a KME Predator cab and chassis.

The unit has a 22-inch raised roof and a 10-inch extended front bumper. It also has 4-Front Frontal Impact protection system and a RollTek Rollover occupant protection system

The 3/16-inch aluminum walk-around body has a receivers on all four sides for a 9,000-pound portable winch, a six-bank, 6,000 psi DOT cascade system with a Space Saver two-position fill station, full height, full depth 29-inch deep compartments and roof access via a lift-up stairway at the rear of the apparatus.

Other features include six hydraulic reels, two Hurst Trimo hydraulic power units plumbed to the reels, one low pressure utility air reel plumbed to an on-board storage tank system that's controlled at the cascade panel.

It also has a Weldon V-Mux mulitplex system, Whelen 12-volt scene lights, a Whelen warning light package and a Wilburt NightScan scene lighting tower with Whelen LED light heads.
