Apparatus - Showcase: Rescue 3 Delivered to Copaigue, N.Y.

The Copaigue (N.Y.) Fire Department has taken delivery of a custom heavy rescue built by KME. The unit is built on a Predator chassis with a 100-inch cab with a 22-inch raised roof and seating for eight occupants.


The front bumper has a 16-inch extension with a Warn 12,000-pound winch. Other features includes a Zico roof access ladder, PTO-driven TNT hydraulic rescue tool system with two TNT quad pumps, six Hannay rescue tool reels with 100 feet of hose on each, Class 1 multiplex system with two screens (driver and officer), Whelen warning lights, Fire Research Corp. Optimum scene lights; Whelen warning lights; a Will-Burt Nightscan 9,000-watt light tower, an Atlas Copco 5-hp electric air compressor, and an ASA Voyager three-camera system.
