Apparatus - Gold Beach, Ore., Responds with New Wetside Tanker
The members of the Gold Beach, Ore., Fire Department have taken delivery of a 2,000-gallon wetside tanker, built by KME on an International 7400 cab and chassis. It's powered by a MaxxForce 10 350-hp engine and an Allison 3000EVS transmission. To fight fire, it has a Hale 750-gpm pump, a Fireman's Friend intake and Newton dump valve on the back.
Other equipment include Robinson R.O.M. doors, Whelen warning and scene and 3/16-inch aluminum construction. It was sold by Mark Merrit, Cascade Fire and Safety, Yakima, Wash.
