Medina, Ohio, Takes Delivery of Telescoping Aerial

Smeal and Ladder Tower Co. have delivered the first newly upgraded 65-foot TeleSqurt telescoping aerial boom to Medina, Ohio, Fire Department.

Smeal and Ladder Tower Co. have delivered the first newly upgraded 65-foot TeleSqurt telescoping aerial boom to Medina, Ohio, Fire Department. This versatile aerial has a 65-foot vertical and a 60-foot horizontal reach. The three-section boom provides for a 199-inch wheelbase and minimal overhang. Dual A-frame-style stabilizers provide maximum stability and an 11-foot 9-inch spread. Smeal’s QL-12 multiplex electrical system, electric-over-hydraulic joystick control and LED lighting are standard. This TeleSqurt is equipped with a 1,500 gpm Waterous CMXC20 pump, 750-gallon water tank and is capable of flowing 1,000 gpm at the tip. Fold-down handrails provide travel height of just 11-foot 9-inch. Medina’s new TeleSqurt rides on a Smeal Sirius chassis.
