Firefighters with the Deerfield, Wis., Volunteer Fire Department. in Middleton, Wis., have taken delivery of Engine 1, a new pumper built by Rosenbauer.  The tandem axle unit is powered by a Cummins 500-hp engine and has a 2,000-gpm Hale pump that's controlled by a top-mount, enclosed pump panel. It's also equipped with a 2,500-gallon water tank with a 50-gallon foam cell. An Onan 8,000-watt generator provides AC power for use on the scene.
