The Addison, Texas, Fire Department has put in service Quint 102, with a 75-foot mid-mount aerial, built by Sutphen Fire Apparatus. The new unit is built on a Sutphen extreme duty cab and chassis with a 10-inch raised roof and an 18-inch extended front bumper with hose storage. It's powered by a Cummins ISL 450-hp engine and an Allison 3000EVS transmission. To fight fire, it has a Hale Qmax 1,500-gpm pump, a 470-gallon water tank with a 30-gallon foam cell, a Foam Pro 2002 foam system and Elkhart Cobra 7250 monitors. It's also equipped with a Voyager camera and monitor system, Whelen warning lights, Fire Research Corp. scene lights, a 6,000-watt SmartPower generator and a Kussmaul charging system.
