Conway, NC, Volunteer Fire Department recently took delivery of a 2016 Freightliner/E-ONE commercial pumper/tanker. Truck 202 has a 1,250-gallon poly tank and a 1.250 gpm Hale single-stage pump. The 4-door cab seats four and the officer and two rear seats are 911 SCBA seats. A custom center console houses the TIC, hand lights, and portable radio storage. It has a top-mount pump panel with two cross-lays behind the cab. There is a 20-inch extended front bumper with a compartment for 100 feet of 1.5-inch jump line. Air horns and the siren are mounted in the extended front bumper as well. It also has a 10-inch dump valve and 2.5-inch direct tank fill on the rear of the truck. The extruded aluminum body has roll-up doors and LED compartment lighting. The compartments have roll-out trays for tool and fitting storage. A total of eight SCBA bottles are stored over the wheel wells. Truck 202 has two telescopic LED scene lights, LED folding steps and under vehicle lighting, and Whelen LED warning lights, light bar, and traffic advisor. The apparatus was sold by Fire Connections, Rocky Mount, NC.
