Firefighters with the Monell Engine Company, Washingtonville, Montour County, PA, have recently put in service a custom 2016 Ferrara pumper with blacked out trim. The apparatus is powered by a Cummins 425-hp engine and an Allison 3000EVS transmission.To fight fires, it has a Hale QMAX150-23L single-stage pump, a 1,000-gallon UPF Poly Tank III water tank and a TFT Blitz Fire monitor. It's also equipped with a Kussmaul auto-eject battery conditioner, LED compartment lights, saws, fans, tarps, forcible entry tools, Whelen Pioneer LED scene lights, a rear-facing camera, a low hose bed, swing down ladder arm, a Federal Q2B mechanical siren as well as an E2 electronic siren, a front suction, and LED warning lights. It was sold by Bob Kaler, Kaler Fire Equipment Sales, Hatfield, PA.
