Newtown Square Volunteer Fire Company, Newtown Township, Delaware County, PA, has recently taken delivery of a 2016 Pierce Arrow XT pumper. It's equipped with a four-door, six-occupant, climate-controlled cab which is powered by a 500 hp Detroit DD13 Diesel engine and Allison 4000EVS automatic transmission. To fight fire, it has a Hale QMAX200-25X, single-stage pump, a 750-gallon UPF Poly Tank III water tank with a 50-gallon Class A foam tank and a Husky foam system. It's also equipped with a Pierce Command Zone, Trident Air Prime, Pierce Total Pressure Governor (TPG), a Kussmaul auto-eject battery conditioning system, LED compartment lighting and slide-out tool trays. It's also equipped with Pioneer LED scene lighting, rear LDH inlet, rear 1-inch hose reel, rear Hannay electric reel, rear preconnected Blitz Fire, side and rear facing cameras, two apartment packs, fan, and front preconnects. Other equipment includes a  Federal Q2B mechanical siren, Whelen electronic siren, a Roto Ray, a Harrison 7,000-watt generator and twin front Pioneer LED brow lights. The apparatus was sold through Glicks Fire Equipment, Smoketown, PA. The cost was $680,000 and the salesman was Sam Terry.
