Apparatus - New Pumper Put in Service with the Raritan, NJ, Fire Department
Raritan Borough, N.J., received a 2017 Pierce Saber PUC model pumper with a Cummins ISL 9, 450-hp engine and an Allison 3000 EVS-P transmission. It's also equipped with a 1,500-gpm, single-stage pump and 850-gallon polypropylene "T-shaped" water tank. The cab has an EMS cabinet, there are both roll-up and conventional compartment doors, LED strip lighting, and rear-mounted camera. Other equipment includes an Akron high-rise monitor, front discharge, low-mount crosslay hose beds an a front bumper with an 19-inch extension.
