San Jose Engine Hit by Suspected Drunken Driver

A suspected drunken driver was arrested after he rammed his car into a San Jose, Calif. fire engine at the scene of a blaze early Sunday, according to The San Francisco Chronicle.The driver reportedly swerved around a fire captain directing traffic before plowing into the engine outside the house fire near Mabury Road and High Glen Drive.The apparatus was pushed forward 15 to 20 feet by the impact, Capt. Anthony Melendrez told the newspaper.

No one was injured, but the car and engine were both damaged in the crash.
