An Overland Park fire engine was involved in a crash Tuesday morning.
Fire officials said no one was seriously injured in the wreck, which happened just before 11 a.m. when Overland Park Engine 45 was northbound on Metcalf Avenue at 159th Street and was struck in the side by a westbound minivan.

An Overland Park fire engine was involved in a crash Tuesday morning.
Fire officials said no one was seriously injured in the wreck, which happened just before 11 a.m. when Overland Park Engine 45 was northbound on Metcalf Avenue at 159th Street and was struck in the side by a westbound minivan.
The driver of the minivan and a child in the rear seat were taken to a hospital and are in good condition, emergency crews said. No injuries were reported on the fire engine and the firefighters were able to help care for the passengers of the minivan.
Fire officials said both vehicles received significant damage. Engine 45 was en route to a crash involving a car that had rear-ended an Overland Park Public Works truck.
