FHExpo17: Apparatus Innovations Abound on Show Floor in Nashville

There's a lot of fire apparatus technology on the show floor at Firehouse Expo in Nashville this year.

Murfreesboro, TN, Fire Department has it's brand new 100-foot rear-mount aerial, built by Sutphen, on the show floor. The aerial is powered by a Cummins ISX 500 hp engine, and has a 2,000 gpm Waterous pump.

There's a lot of technology on the "rolling stock" on the show floor at Firehouse Expo in Nashville. From a tandem axle Ford F-550 brush truck to a brand new rear-mount aerial design.

Some of the technology is subtle, like a small, transverse cabinet in the cab for pike poles, to large concepts to include a brand new truck chassis with a rear-mount aerial.
