A Washington fire chief is urging drivers to slow down during challenging winter weather conditions after a battalion chief's vehicle was struck at a crash scene.

Spokane Valley Fire Chief Bryan Collins posted photos of the accident on social media Monday afternoon. A department battalion chief had been working the scene of a previous traffic incident on Interstate 90 when another vehicle when a car rear-ended the first responder's vehicle, KHQ-TV reports.

"Please slow down and pull over for First Responders. Especially in today’s driving conditions," Collins wrote in his post. "Keep our ⁦@SpokaneValleyFD⁩ firefighters safe and able to continue responding to your emergencies."

No injuries were reported, and no details were released about damage done to the battalion chief's vehicle.
