Pierce Manufacturing Expands Florida Operations
Pierce Manufacturing Inc. has revealed a new stage of strategic improvements to its facilities in Bradenton, FL, which builds upon recently disclosed investments at its Appleton, WI, campus for manufacturing in Wisconsin Pierce is making a total investment of roughly $150 million across its facilities, which includes about $70 million that has been invested so far. Pierce has created 800 new jobs in the United States and continues to hire. Pierce's ongoing dedication to enhancing production capacity, boosting operational efficiency, and providing firehouses with high-quality fire apparatus more quickly is illustrated by these growth initiatives.
The investments in Bradenton aim to improve quality, production flow, safety, and ergonomics for team members, while also boosting capacity to meet the rising demand for Pierce fire apparatus. This initiative includes the addition of a facility covering 185,000 square feet near Pierce’s Florida campus. This facility is part of the previously announced plan for over 500,000 square feet of new space to accommodate increased fire apparatus production. The new area will allow for increased material storage and kitting, better production flow, and enhanced training capabilities. The facility is anticipated to be operational by the middle of 2026, along with associated process enhancements.
Pierce is investing in the expansion of paint operations at the Bradenton campus to enhance capacity, improve production consistency, and ensure exceptional quality. The project comprises adding new booth space and making material-handling improvements that will simplify workflows and back ongoing development.
“Our growing team in Bradenton plays a critical role in delivering the quality and craftsmanship our customers expect,” said Marty Bass, President, Pierce Manufacturing. “Over the past several years, Pierce has significantly expanded its Florida workforce and production capability. These investments reflect our continued focus on building high quality apparatus, supporting our team members, strengthening our operations and positioning Pierce to meet customer demand well into the future.”
Moreover, the Bradenton campus is implementing enhancements to its site infrastructure, which encompass an increase in parking capacity, optimization of traffic flow, and bolstering of security measures. These improvements aim to foster a secure and efficient setting for both team members and visitors.
