Two Sourcewell Government Contracts Awarded to Olathe Fleet

Olathe Fleet has been awarded two Sourcewell contracts, providing government, educational and charitable organizations access to over 50 OEM models and comprehensive fleet management services.

Two Sourcewell contracts have been given to Olathe Fleet: Class 4-8 medium-duty chassis (032824-OLA) and Class 1-3 light-duty vehicles (081325-OLA).

More than 50,000 government, educational and charitable organizations in the United States and Canada employ Sourcewell cooperative contracts; in the past, these organizations had few vendor options for these fleet contracts. With the addition of Olathe Fleet, agencies now have access to ten OEM models—Ford, Chevrolet, GMC, Ram, Chrysler, Jeep, Dodge, Hyundai, Mercedes and Lincoln—through a single dealer who can handle all aspects of government fleet procurement, upfitting, fleet management, leasing and telematics internally.

Government agencies used to just have one dealer option on these contracts, so the change eliminates a vendor bottleneck. They can now use a single point of contact to combine their government fleet procurement across ten OEM models.

“When an OEM model isn’t available, customers don’t have to go searching for another vendor or go through another lengthy procurement cycle. We have alternatives in stock or we can switch to another OEM – it makes it simple,” said Sandra Gonzalez, government sales ,anager at Olathe Fleet. “Government fleet managers deserve better options and a partner who actually understands their world. That’s exactly what we are.”

Olathe Fleet offers more than 50 years of professional experience in fleet upfitting and government fleet cars. In addition to internal administrative, fleet management, mobile service, body shop, upfitter and finance teams, the dealership employs over forty government professionals with competence in police, fire, ambulance, buses, work vehicles and bespoke upfitting.

The contracts cover all aspects of public safety and work vehicle upfitting, including cranes, aerials, dumps, police, fire and emergency medical services, as well as fully customized solutions. There are also options for student transportation and mobility.

The two Sourcewell cooperative purchasing agreements go into effect right away.
