Rosenbauer America's Two U.S. Navy Apparatus Orders Valued Over $5.3 Million

Rosenbauer America has secured orders for ten Medium Duty Rescue Vehicles from the U.S. Navy Fire & Emergency Services, valued at over $5.3 million.

The U.S. Navy Fire & Emergency Services has given Rosenbauer America two orders totaling ten Medium Duty Rescue Vehicles worth more than $5.3 million. The vehicles, which were acquired through the Defense Logistics Agency's (DLA) Troop Support Contract, are expected to be delivered in the fall of 2027 to support emergency response operations at Navy locations both domestically and internationally.

Rosenbauer's SMART CAB design, which combines crew seats and effective equipment storage in a highly maneuverable compact, is a feature of the vehicles, which are built on a Freightliner M2 106 two-door chassis. Each device has a Rosenbauer FX 20-foot rescue body that can accommodate a sizable supply of SCBA cylinders and air packs, as well as an additional roof-mounted air conditioning system.

The Medium Duty Rescue Vehicles, which are built to optimize personnel and equipment transportation, will assist Navy emergency responders in safeguarding military personnel, civilian workers, vital infrastructure, aircraft, ships and installations. Structural fires, aviation emergencies, hazardous materials accidents, technical rescue operations and emergency medical responses are just a few of the many situations that U.S. Navy Fire & Emergency Services teams respond to.

"These orders reflect the U.S. Navy's continued commitment to providing its emergency responders with highly capable and versatile response vehicles," said RJ Jones, director of federal government and ARFF Sales for Rosenbauer America. "Our Medium Duty Rescue Vehicle combines the personnel-carrying capability of the SMART CAB™ design with the storage capacity needed to support a broad range of emergency operations. We are proud to provide a solution that helps Navy Fire & Emergency Services personnel respond safely and effectively to critical incidents around the world."

The award demonstrates Rosenbauer America's dedication to provide cutting-edge, mission-ready fire and rescue equipment that satisfies the exacting needs of federal and military clients.
