Road Rescue Celebrates 50th Anniversary
Road Rescue is commemorating 50 years of service and innovation. The Road Rescue name and ambulance design designs were acquired by Bill Huestis, the owner and operator of LP Gas Company in St. Paul, MN, from a small fabrication firm in 1976. This marked the beginning of the Road Rescue tale. By incorporating characteristics that were unusual for manufacturers at the time, he founded Road Rescue as a local supplier of modular ambulances that were safe, roomy and adaptable.
At its Winter Park plant, Road Rescue currently produces Type 1, Type 3 and medium duty ambulances. Its highly qualified staff constructs and customizes ambulances with cutting-edge safety measures, creative engineering and elegant, emergency room-inspired ergonomic design. Road Rescue provides the knowledge, service, and post-purchase assistance that emergency responders rely on through a committed dealer network that serves clients throughout the United States and Canada.

- Door hinges are positioned beneath the outside skin to provide a streamlined look using HiddenHinges.

- Side-body panels in one piece that reduce external welding at body seams.
- Rear escape door handles are positioned ergonomically for safer and simpler access.
Road Rescue will celebrate its 50th anniversary at booth 2018 at the EMS World Expo in Orlando from Sept. 30–Oct. 2.
