North Penn, PA, Volunteer Fire Company has taken delivery of a 101-foot aerial tiller built by KME Fire Apparatus. It is built on a KME severe service cab and chassis with a 10-inch raised roof. it is powered by a Cummins ISX-12 500-hp engine and an Allison 6-speed transmission. It's also equipped with a Telma driveline retarder. To fight fire, it has a Waterous CX 1,500-gpm pump and 300-gallon polypropylene tank. Other features include Amdor roll-up doors with a painted finish, a HiViz Firetec brow light, Whelen warning lights and a Harrison 10,000-watt hydraulic generator.
