Salt Lake City, Utah, Fire Department Has New Tiller Called Ladder 5

The Salt Lake City, UT, Fire Department has placed in service a 107-foot Pierce Ascendant tiller aerial in service. It is built on a Pierce Arrow XT cab and chassis which is powered by a Detroit Diesel DD 13 525-hp engine and an Allison transmission. It is also equipped with Whelen warning and scene lights, a Harrison Hydra-Gen 6,000-watt generator and a Federal Signal Q2B mechanical siren.
