Fairfield Fire Department has taken deliver of a new E-ONE HP 78-foot eMAX quint aerial. It is built on an E-ONE Typhoon cab with a split-raised roof and rear side compartments with transverse pass-through. It also has a severe-duty engine cover and dash package. It also has galvanized and powder-coated, double rail frame, a Cummins ISL 450 hp engine with an Allison EVS 3000 transmission. It has a Meritor 33,000-pound single rear axle and Meritor 19,840-pound front axle. The aerial is a HP 78 welded extruded aluminum ladder with 2.5 to 1 structural safety factor and 825-pound tip load with an advanced aerial control system with additional controls at pump panel and ladder tip. The aerial is equipped with a pinnable waterway monitor with extended range and 2.5-inch valve at tip Extruded aluminum body with SideStacker hosebed eMAX configuration with an enclosed pump panel and low pre-connected handlines. Other features include  122 feet of ground ladders, a 1,500 gpm pump with 500-gallon water tank, a Hale 3.3 FoamLogix foam system with 20-gallon integral foam cell and Whelen and Code3 LED warning lights. The quint is equipped with Fire Research Corporation and FireTech LED scene lights, a SmartPower 6,000-watt hydraulic generator with a cord reel.
