Apparatus - Philadelphia Receives First of Several Custom Tiller Aerials

Philadelphia Fire Department has started receiving several 2018 Pierce Arrow XT tillered 102-foot Ascendant aerials built exclusively to PFD specifications. They are equipped with Detroit Diesel DD13 engines, Allison 4500EVS automatic transmissions, 10,000-watt Harrison generators, Kussmaul auto-eject battery conditioners, four-door, six-seat climate controlled cabs, raised roofs, full height rear doors, ROM shutters, Little Giant ladders, LED scene lighting, LED compartment lighting, saws, fans, tarps, forcible entry tools, RIT gear, Stokes rescue basket, two Hannay electric cord reels, side, front, and rear facing cameras, transverse compartments, slide out tool trays, extrication tools, and a Federal Q2B mechanical siren.
