Elkins Park, PA, Volunteer Fire Department, in Montgomery County, has taken delivery 2018 Pierce Enforcer 107-foot Ascendant aerial. It is built on a four-door cab and chassis with seating for six occupants and is powered by a Cummins L9 engine and an Allison 3000EVS transmission. To fight fire, it has a 1,500-gpm PUC single-stage pump, a 500-gallon UPF Poly Tank III and a Trident Emergency Products air primer. Other features include a Kussmaul auto-eject battery conditioner, a Harrison 6,000-watt generator, Gortite shutters, Whelen scene lights, a Roto-Ray, a Federal Signal Q2B siren and an Akron Brass Stream Master II nozzle.
