Rome, GA, Fire Department has taken delivery of a 70-foot quint built by Sutphen Fire. It is built on a Sutphen Monarch heavy-duty custom cab and chassis on a 62-inch extended cab with a 10-inch raised roof. It is powered by a Cummins X12 500-hp engine and an Allison Gen 5 3000EVS transmission. To fight fire, it has a Hale QMax 1,500-gpm pump and a 500-gallon tank. It features a huck-bolt stainless steel body, Amdor roll-up doors, Duo-Safety ladders, Voyager 2 camera system, Whelen warning lights, Fire Research Corp. scene lights and a Federal Signal Q2B siren.
