West Atlantic City Volunteer Fire Company, Egg Harbor Township Fire Department, Atlantic County, NJ has taken delivery of a 2019 KME Panther 78-foot rear-mounted quint. It is built on a four-door, six-occupant, climate-controlled cab with a raised roof. it is powered by a Cummins 450-hp L9 engine and an Allison 3000EVS transmission.To fight fire, it has a Waterous CXSC 20C, single-stage 1,500-gpm pump, a 500-gallon polypropylene water tank, a Trident air primer, and a Fire Research Corp. InControl 400 pressure governor. Other features include a Kussmaul auto-eject battery conditioner, ROM roll-up doors, an Onan 6,000-watt hydraulic generator, Hannay electric reel, Akron Brass waterway, Whelen warning and scene lights, and a Federal Signal Q2B mechanical siren.
