Apparatus - Walker County Ladder

The Walker County, GA, Fire Department took delivery of this KME 79-foot Aerialcat™ ladder with a 1,500-gpm pump.

The cab is on a Predator Panther MFD chassis with a 10-inch raised roof. It's powered by a Cummins ISL-9 450 hp engine with a 2010 EPA engine break and a Allison 3000 EVS, five-speed automatic transmission.

The body is made of 3/16-inch aluminum with a “Straight Shot” hosebed. Water is delivered via a Hale Q-Max 15,000-gpm, single-stage pump with a 750-gallon Poly tank.

The vehicle's overall height is 138 inches with an overall length of 473 inches and a 219-inch wheelbase.

The 79-foot Aerialcat ladder has a 70-foot horizontal reach and an unrestricted 750-pound rated tip load. The 1,500-gpm-rated waterway is equipped with a “Store Front Blitz.”

Stabilization comes from a single set of 14-foot stabilizers with front downriggers.
