One Dead in Crash Between Dallas Ambulance, Other Vehicle

March 29, 2020
An ambulance was taking a patient to the hospital Sunday when it was involved in a fatal accident with another vehicle that injured five people, including two Dallas Fire-Rescue members.

One person died after a crash with a Dallas Fire-Rescue ambulance Sunday morning, a spokesman for the fire department said.

The ambulance was taking someone to the hospital about 6:20 a.m. when it was involved in a crash with another vehicle at the intersection of Scyene Road and Glover Pass in Pleasant Grove.

The two Dallas Fire-Rescue members in the ambulance and the patient they were transporting were all taken to a hospital with injuries that weren’t expected to be life-threatening, Dallas Fire-Rescue spokesman Jason Evans said in an email.

The three people in the other vehicle were also taken to a hospital. One of them died there, Evans said.

Officials didn’t provide details about what led to the crash, and the person who died was not identified.
