Accident Rips Apart CO Fire District's Ambulance

The crash involving a Limon Area Fire Protection District ambulance was being blamed on a driver who didn't slow down for the emergency vehicle, according to the department.

A Colorado ambulance was heavily damaged in an accident during snowy road conditions Tuesday.

"This is what happens when on scene and people don't pay attention," the fire district stated in an online update. "People slow down when you see emergency vehicle's."

Photos posted to the department's Facebook page show the side of the ambulance ripped apart. Debris and other wreckage also can be seen strewn across the roadway from the crash.
