Ambulance Crash Leaves Polk County, FL, Medic, Patient Seriously Hurt
A Polk County paramedic and a patient were critically injured in a collision between an ambulance and a pickup truck towing a trailer with a vehicle on it.
The ambulance was headed to a hospital when the crash occurred Monday night on U.S. 27 in Haines City.
Polk County Sheriff’s depities said they have not determined if the ambulance's lights and siren were activated, WKMG reported.
The drivers of both vehicles suffered less serious injuries.
In October, a civilian was killed in a crash with a Polk County ambulance that was responding to a call.
