Aspen, CO, Fire Protection District has taken delivery of a Type 3 wildland pumper built by SVI Trucks.

Aspen, CO, Fire Protection District has taken delivery of a Type 3 wildland pumper built by SVI Trucks. The unit is built on an International cab and chassis, powered by a Cummins L9 380-hp engine and an Allison 3000EVS transmission. To fight fire, it has a Hale, single-stage, 1,000-gpm pump with a stationary pumping and pump and roll modes, a 750-gallon polypropylene water tank with a 20-gallon foam cell, a FoamPro 2001 electronic foam system, OnScene Solutions LED compartment lights, and a Zico, curbside ladder lift system. It also has Whelen warning and scene lights and siren and an Akron Apollo lift-off style deck gun.
