Leander took delivery of two Type 5 wildland fire units built by Skeeter Brush Trucks on a Ford F550 chassis.

The Leander Fire Department took delivery of two Type 5 wildland units with Skeeter Rescue Side bodies built on a Ford F550 4x4 chassis. 

The four-door cab includes a Setcom wireless headset for the crew

Features on the body include two backup cameras, a Warn 16,500-pound winch electric front-mount winch and a Skeeter aluminum custom bumper.

Suppresion features included a Darley 1.5 AGE diesel pump, 400-gallon poly water tank, 10-gallon poly foam tank, ground sweep discharges on the front bumper and a hose reel.

The rigs carry a spare tire atop the water tank.
