Six Hurt when Fire Vehicle Slams into Rockland County, NY, House

Four firefighters were injured when the Thiells Fire Department water rescue unit was hit while responding to a call.

Four firefighters and two civilians were injured early Thursday when a fire department vehicle slammed into a house in Wester Haverstraw.

The Thiells Fire Department vehicle used to transport the swift water and rescue crews and equpment were responding to a call with the crash happened.

As the unit crossed a road, it was struck by a white Jeep, which sent it into the corner of a nearby home, CBS reported.

The incident remains under investigation.
