LA County, CA, Fire Department has taken delivery of a hazardous material squad built by KME Fire Apparatus. It is built on a 100-inch Severe Service XLFD cab and chassis with a 22-inch raised roof. It is powered by a Cummins ISX 12 500-hp engine and an Allison 4500EVS transmission. It also features Robinson roll-up doors, a Westerbeke 20,000-watt diesel-powered generator, Fire Research Corp. Spectra LED scene lighting, a Hiviz Fire Tech 72-inch brow light and a Hannay electric cord reel.
