Drill #94: The MSDS: Part 1

One of the rare, but welcomed pieces of information at a Hazardous Material incident is the material safety data sheet (MSDS). The MSDS is comprised of 16 sections that will assist you in managing the incident and keeping everyone safe. Part 1 takes a look at the first eight sections.

The drill is designed to be a single page of information to conjure up discussions among your crew members. Sit down and talk about the exercises, and how they may apply to your company. But, just don't read them. Get moving. Head to an appropriate area and train.

Post the information in prominent places in your stations so it's readily available for review.
