This new unit replaces a smaller and Spartan hazmat unit which no longer met the needs of the city.

The new unit also features more functional decon deployment and provides a larger space for prepping for a call while enroute.

The cab is command style in order to eliminate the need for deployment of a second unit for command post purposes.
