Paterson, NJ, Fire Department has put Rescue Co. 2, a 2019 Ferrara Igniter heavy rescue in service.The unit has an extruded aluminum walk-in body and a two-door cab and chassis. It is powered by a Cummins 450-hp L9 engine and an Allison transmission. The unit has a transverse compartment behind the driver's door and a transverse compartment in the box as well as roll-out tool boards. It is has bench seat in the box with storage for ladders and tools. It is also equipped with a portable winch with four receivers and a Harrison IHT system that powers a generator as well as rescue tools. It is also equipped with a Kussmaul battery and air conditioner system, Whelen scene lights and Federal Signal sirens.
