Dec. 22, 2014

Firefighters with the Sheffield Village Fire Department recently put into service a new pumper built by KME on a Panther 4X2 cab and chassis with a 10-inch raised roof. It's powered by a Cummins engine and an Allison transmission.

To fight fire, it has a Waterous pump and a 750-gallon water tank.

Other features include a 12-gauge stainless steel body, Robinson (R.O.M.) roll-up doors, Whelen warning lights and an Onan generator.

The apparatus was sold by Ray Capezutto of Warren Fire Equipment, Warren Ohio.
