Apparatus - New 3,000-Gallon Tanker Rolls Into Wakefield, N.H.

The Wakefield Fire Department in Sanbornville, has just taken delivery of an all-new HME 3,000-gallon tanker, built on a HME 1871-Spectr tilt cab with a 12-inch raised-roof and seating for six. It’s powered by a Cummins ISLX-12 500-hp diesel engine and equipped with a Hale “Q-Max” 2,000-gpm midship pump.

The apparatus has double frame rails, a 6-wheel Meritor/Wabco stability enhancement system, heated and remote controlled moto-mirrors, cab tilt road interlock, a center hosewell, HME Hydra Technology, 3 crosslay beds, Hale FoamLogix system with a 30-gallon external poly tank and max four outlets.

It also has a 36" stainless steel telescoping extension chute for quick dumping, a brushed stainless steel body and compartment roof with a safety tape walkway, ladder through-the-tank storage, satin anodized roll-up doors, six rear SCBA tube compartments, a 2-/12-inch 'Fireman's Friend' check valve, Zico electric folding tank rack, Unity AG hosebed floodlight, deep adjustable shelving, pullout trays, and FoxTrax toolboards.
