Apparatus - Epsom, N.H., Puts Engine 1 in Service

Firefighters in Epsom, N.H., took delivery of a custom Pierce Arrow XT pumper in January. It is powered by a Cummins ISL 450 hp engine and an Allison transmission.

The stainless steel pumper is equipped with a Waterous 1,500 gpm pump, a 1,000-gallon water tank, a Harrison generator and hands free SCBA brackets with Ready Reach seat belts.

The new pumper has Whelen LED scene and warning lights and joins Epsom's fleet which also includes a Pierce Arrow XT PUC rescue pumper.
