The Thorndale Volunteer Fire Company, Caln Township, Chester County, Pa., have a new engine in service built by 4 Guys on a Spartan Metro Star cab and chassis. The new apparatus is equipped with a four-door, six-seat climate controlled cab, Bostrom Firefighter seats, roll protection, side, front, and knee airbags, a flat roof, a Cummins engine, and an Allison transmission.

It also has FireComm wireless headsets, in-cab EMS compartments, Hale 1,500-gpm pump, 778 gallon UPF Poly Tank III water tank, FRC Pump Boss control, Trident Air Prime, Kussmaul auto-eject, LED compartment lighting, and a 10kW Onan generator.

Other equipment includes slide-out tool trays, swing-out tool board, saws, fans, tarps, forcible entry tools, Hannay electric reel, rear-facing camera, rear LDH intake, blitz line, booster hose reel, high-rise pack, Whelen Pioneer LED scene lighting, Hale master intake valves, Little Giant ladder, LED front Roto-Ray, front discharge, Federal Q2B mechanical and E-2 electronic sirens, front Pioneer LED brow light.

The unit was sold through Commonwealth Fire Equipment, Winchester, Virginia and the salesman was Bob Purcell.
