Winslow Township Fire Department in Camden County, N.J., recently put a 2016 Spartan ERV rescue engine in service. It's built on a Spartan Metro Star chassis equipped with a four=door, seven-seat climate-controlled cab, raised roof and a full height rear door. It's powered by a Cummins ISL 450 hp engine and an Allison 3000EVP automatic transmission. To fight fire, it has a Waterous CSU-C-20-C single stage 1,500-gpm pump, 750-gallon UPF Poly Tank III water tank, FRC InControl 400 throttle, Hypro Foam Pro foam system with Reach Engineering Rapid Fill, and a Trident air primer. It also has an in-cab EMS box,  Slidemaster 500-pound slide-out tool trays, Kussmaul auto-eject, LED compartment lighting, cribbing, Harrison 14,000-watt generator, under chassis slide out drawer, rope rescue gear, Maxxi-Force air bags, Hurst extrication tools, coffin style compartments, ladder tunnel, rear LDH intake, Paratech struts, saws, fans, tarps, and forcible entry tools. It also has oil dry chute, front LED brow light, LED warning lights, front bumper-stored high rise pack, four-point receivers, 6,000-pound cable winch, front discharge with preconnect, Federal Q2B mechanical siren, and five Hannay reels- three hydraulic, one electric, one air. It was sold through Campbell Supply, South Brunswick, N.J., and the salesman was Paul Sickler.
