Gilmer, GA, Fire Rescue has recently put in service a new custom rescue pumper built by HME/Ahrens Fox.

Gilmer, GA, Fire Rescue, part of the Gilmer County Department of Public Safety, has recently put in service a new custom rescue pumper built by HME/Ahrens Fox. It's built on an HME 1871 W / MFDxl 12” Mid Raised Roof cab and chassis which is powered by A Cummins ISL 9 450 hp engine and an Allison 3000EVS transmission. It is equipped with a Hale 1,250-gpm Qflo Plus pump and a 1,020-gallon tank. Other features and equipment include LED compartment lighting, a Whelen light bar, and a stainless steel body with 215 cubic feet of compartment storage space with adjustable shelves.
