Apparatus - Foscoe, NC, Volunteer Fire Dept. Gets New Pumper
The Foscoe Volunteer Fire Department, Watauga County, NC, and responds to approximately 300 calls per year. The department recently accepted delivery of a new pumper - its eighth Toyne fire apparatus. Foscoe’s pumper was built on a Freightliner M2 106 2 door 4x4 cab and chassis and is powered by a Cummins ISL 350 hp engine and Allison 3000EVS transmission. It has a Hale Q-max 1,250-gpm pump and a UPF 500-gallon tank. It also has Fire Research telescoping lights and a Hale 2.1 Class A foam system.
