Covington, TN, Fire Rescue has taken delivery of a Midwest Fire side control tanker-pumper built on a Freightliner M2 106 chassis with a Cummins L9 350EV HP Engine and an Allison 3000 EVS transmission. It has 2,000-gallon APR Polypropylene tank and a Hale Q-Max 1,500-gpm split-shaft pump. Other features include a Zico electric portable tank carrier and a 2,100-gallon portable tank, a Federal Signal Q2B mechanical siren, Whelen warning and scene lights, a Kussmaul battery conditioner and OnSpot tire chains.
