Apparatus - Wheatland Township, MI, Fire Rescue Puts Unique Pumper in Service

Wheatland Township, MI, Fire Rescue has taken delivery of a Spencer MFG pumper with rear-mount pump controls. It is built on a Spartan Emergency Response Metro Star MFD cab and chassis. It is powered by a Cummins engine and an Allison transmission. It is also equipped with a Hale 1,500-gpm pump, a 1,000-gallon water tank with a 30-gallon foam cell with a Hale foam system. Other equipment includes a Class 1 TPG governor, Akron Brass electric valves, a rear suction, and Whelen scene and and warning light. It also has a Command Light 12-volt light tower, a TFT monitor and R.O.M Roll-up doors.
