Apparatus - Canon City, Co. Area Fire Protection District Puts CAFS Pumper in Service

Canon City Area, CO, Fire Protection District has taken delivery of a custom pumper built by HME Ahrens-Fox. The pumper is built on an 1871-Spectr cab and chassis MFDxl-12 mid-roof with a large windshield. It's powered by a Cummins ISX12 engine with an Allison 4000EVS transmission. To fight fire, it has a Hale Q-Max 2,000 gpm pump, a 1,000-gallon tank and a Class A and B compressed air foam system.. Other equipment includes a Federal Signal Q2B mechanical siren.
