Apparatus - New Brunswick, NJ, Fire Dept. Takes Delivery of a Custom Pumper

Engine 1, a 2019 Ferrara Cinder pumper, has been delivered to the New Brunswick, NJ, Fire Department. It is powered by a Cummins L9 engine and an Allison 3000EVS transmission. To fight fire, it has a Waterous 1,750-gpm CMU two-stage pump and a 750-gallon water tank with a foam cell. Other features include a front discharge, three rear discharges, all LED lighting including compartment light strips, wheelwell compartment space and a back board mounted on the roof of the apparatus.
