Boulder, CO, Fire Department has taken delivery of a custom pumper built by SVI Trucks on a Spartan Gladiator cab and chassis. The rig has a 10-inch raised roof and is powered by a Cummins L9 450-hp engine and an Allison 3000EVS transmission. To fight fire, it has a Waterous CSUC20 single-stage pump, a 500-gallon UPF polypropylene tank, a TFT Hurricane 1,250-gpm deck gun with a wireless remote. Other features include Whelen warning and scene lighting, OnScene Solutions aluminum drop-down cargo slides, a Zico ladder rack, and a Hannay electric cable reel.
